Sympathy Card

A beautiful card for a sad occasion! Here is a sympathy card that I made for a dear friend who lost a son recently, something that should never happen to anyone.

The card was cased from Stampin' Up! Using the Kinda Eclectic stamp set, it's a lovely set and well worth buying to use in your card making, scrapbooking and project life cards.

Stampin Up product retirement

hi all

Today sees the launch of Stampin' Up! annual product reirement list, which is always greeted with mixed emotions; great sadness at the loss of some favourite items tempered by excitement at the prospect of some lovely new gorgeousness in the new catalogue to be launched on 2nd June!

Of course the old 2013-2015 In-Colors are retiring, I have no doubt they will be popular and will sell out fast. Everything on the list is only while stocks last and items are up to 50% off making them really  good value.

Take a look at the list and order either using my SHOP button on the right or contact me to place your order.

Click the link below for the pdf list. Happy Shopping!

Makes for this past week

I have been very busy this week and am actually a week behind on our scrapbook challenge too, so I must do some catching up.

Here is this weeks' scrapbook challenge page; the sketch chosen by me from the Basic Grey blog and my interpretation using mainly Stampin' Up! products - paper, cardstock, dies, masks, ink, etc.  I added the title from my "SLICE" machine with some gorgeous gold gilt rubbed over it for a bit of bling.

This week was my 39th wedding anniversary, wow! Looking forward to some rubies for the 40th lol. Here is the card I made for hubby using an old Hunkydory set I had in my stash...

As it happens, I had to get some cards finished for a swap using anything from the annual catalogue.  I decided to challenge myself and use a set of stamps I had bought back when the catalogue first came out, but I really haven't used them much at all.  So here are my swap cards, the design is something I found on Pinterest and thought interesting, courtesy of Holly Endress...

Weekly Scrapbook Challenge

Hi

For this weeks' Butterfly Belles scrapbook challenge I used photos that I took on Easter Sunday when my gorgeous family came over for lunch. I am so blessed to have 3 gorgeous sons, their beautiful wives and 6 fabulous grand-children, so far! Family mean so much to me and I love them all.  So, this is my page capturing the children doing what they do best, unfortunately two of the boys managed to avoid having their photo taken lol. I will have to try harder next time! Below it is the sketch that was chosen by Michelle.

Seasonal Catalogue

Hi,
Yes, it's sad but true - Sale-a-bration is finished for another year; I do hope you managed to earn some lovely goodies for free during this time.

All is not lost though, we have some lovely yumminess available in the seasonal Spring/Summer catalogue and, if you haven't looked yet I urge you to do so - see the link on the right. If you're like me you just need it all!

And, of course, don't forget the Annual Catalogue - link on the right, for all of Stampin' Up!s regular items like cardstock, inks, adhesives and lovely stamp sets.

You can shop with me using my shop button, on the right, and have your goodies delivered direct to you.

I thought I would share with you some gorgeous swaps I received that are based on the Seasonal Catalogue, my thanks to all the swappers. Look out for this months swaps, which have to be based on  stamps, etc from the Annual Catalogue.

Weekly Scrapbook Challenge

Hi all

This is scrapbook challenge week 4 and the sketch was chosen by Sue McDonald. I chose to scrap my grand-daughter, Poppy, because she is just so very cute. What other colour could I choose for the layout but Stampin Up's Real Red, it's a beautiful colour for a beautiful baby.  I hope you like it and I look forward to your comments.

Why not pop on over to Michelle's blog, Sue's blog or Irene's blog to take a look at their take on Sue's sketch.

Have fun!

Swaps...

hi all,
Well, I am supposed to blog my scrapbook challenge picture today but I am afraid I have not quite finished it yet so you'll have to wait a little longer.
I do have some other stuff that I thought you might like to see in the meantime. First of all my swaps arrived today, yay. I joined in with a swap hosted by Sue McDonald over on In Love With Stamping. Its always exciting to receive that envelope knowing you have some gorgeous pieces of art inside. Here is my card, I had to make 5 of them and we have to use only Stampin Up products. I just love the "bokeh" technique that I used to make the background and thought it was a great co,our for sky and this lovely balloon.
In return I got 4 gorgeous cards, see below, and of course I also got one of my own back.

If you pull the button, the little piggies head goes around, so cute!

Scrapbook Challenge 3

Hi all
Well today was the day we had to get scrapbook challenge 3 posted and, surprisingly, I got mine done on time so was well pleased with myself. Especially given all the other stuff going on in my life at the present time - plenty of 'challenges' that are not nearly so much fun!

Back to acrapbooking. I have to say I am loving scrapbooking. These challenges are a fabulous way of making me get on with it and I had forgotten how much I missed it.  It's a lovely creative process that is just for me and my family and we get to keep what I make, which is even better.  I found a lovely 12x12 deep photo frame in Wilkinsons recently, it's very plain actually but that makes it ideal for a bit of altering (watch this space); but its great for displaying this weeks' scrap page and when I replace it with next weeks page, this one can go into the album - cool or what!

Anyway, here is my page for this challenge, I hope you like it.

A Birthday Card...

today is my grandsons 7th birthday so I had to make a card and a little something else for him. Unfortunately life has thrown us a few curve balls lately and there is a lot going on in the family so this card had to be a quick and easy rather than the one I had originally planned. I am just loving the Celebrate Today stamp set with matching Balloon framelits as used on both of these projects.  All products Stampin' Up! Of course.

Also, I try to make each of them a number decoration that highlights what they are 'into' at this moment and Josh just loves this type of building bricks.

Anyway, I hope you like them and that they inspire you to create something. Just contact me or use my shop icon on the right if you would like to buy anything. It's still Sale-a-bration at Stampin' Up! until the end of this month so you can choose a free item from the special brochure or the 2 new flyers for every £45 you spend, so its well worth while.

Scrapbook Challenges

another project I've been working on lately is a scrapbook challenge with the Stampin Up team, the Butterfly Belles. Here are my offerings for last week and today. My photography needs sorting out so my apologies for the poor quality but I didnt want to wait before posting ...

Mothers' Day Gift

hi all,
I have really been busy lately and been trying to finish a load of projects and challenges that have been "in progress" - some for quite a while! I have finally finished my gift to my mum for mothers' day. She has 6 great grand-children (all of them are my grand-children) and I thought a lovely little envelope book to keep the most recent photos of her great grand-children handy; a granny's brag book.
I've made the envelopes using Stampin Up! designer series paper and the Stampin Up envelope punch board - really easy, quick and a lovely effect.
The names are cut using the Little Letters thinlits on my big shot and I am just loving the new Hello thinlits (the Happy) and the So You stampset for that word 'Smile' - both from the new seasonal catalogue.
I hope you like it...

Octonauts card

I have been really bad about keeping up with my blog posts but am now being encouraged to be more  proactive. So, here is the first post in the new life of my blog. One of my gorgeous grandsons is 5 today and is really really keen on the Octonauts. He wanted a Gup-X for his birthday (I didnt know what it was either) but having bought it I decided to make a matching card. I searched pinterest for inspiration and couldn't find anything so designed my own. Here is the finished card - all Stampin Up goodies of course, I am rather proud of it if I may say so lol. I hope you like it too.
